October Tears

It’s blustery out tonight; the rain is coming down.
It’s the middle of October; I see it all around.
I miss you so right now; my tears keep welling up.

I miss you all the time; so many tears I shed.
Even if the sun is shining or the moon’s bright overhead.
It’s the middle of October; I see it all around.

Another school year’s here and you are missing out.
You’d be a college sophomore, of that there is no doubt!
It’s the middle of October; I see it all about!

Andrew and Matthew, I wish you could see.
You’d sure be glad they’re on our family tree!
Their thoughts are of Halloween and what they will be!

It’s the middle of October; I see it all around.
Colored leaves now cover most of all the ground.
These wet and trodden bits of trees make me feel so sad.

Thus my tears keep flowing like a brook on its way,
It doesn’t help that tomorrow will be another day.
I feel great sorrow in my soul; I want you here to stay!

It’s the middle of October; soon it will be gone.
November will be even worse; three years is just too long.
And, so, my tears do start again; I just miss you so!!!

It’s the middle of October and I keep thinking of you;
The tears keep flowing no matter what I do.
I wish that you were here and life could start anew!

With loving thoughts of Christopher during this month of October, 2006.
Grandma Jan
